Tyrolean bacon and house sausage, fresh Alm cheese, fine homemade pastries - now at the latest your tour through the Kaunertal will also become a culinary delight.

Safety in the Tyrolean mountains

Hike safely and without detours through the Kaunertal mountains - the uniform signage based on the Tyrolean mountain path concept makes it easy for you to find the right path.

Signposts are the main element of signage for hiking and mountain trails. In order to prevent a "forest of signs" in nature, the number of signposts is kept as low as possible. In principle, signposts are attached to every important intersection, junction or fork in the road. These signposts are yellow and contain destination, walking time and route number. In addition, there is a red dot for moderately difficult trails and a black dot for difficult mountain trails.

It gets even more detailed and realistic with the interactive map for the nature park and glacier region. It's best to try it out right away and get on your way in advance!

Prefer something tangible? Various hiking maps can be purchased from the tourist offices in Feichten and Fendels as well as in the Kaunergrat Nature Park House. These not only contain all the important data and facts about the hiking trails and bike tours, but also detailed directions.

If you can't get enough of hiking, get the hiking pass with selected hiking tours and adventurous hiking destinations in the Kaunertal nature park and glacier region. As a reward, the hiking pins in bronze, silver & gold await. Available at the information office in Feichten.
